ILP COURSE A3

Hello and welcome to our ILP course!

You are accessing this blog page if you are enrolled in the ILP course offered at Highland Tech High during third period on “A” schedule days.  

You have signed up for this course or have been highly recommended to take it if you have meet one of the following traits:

  1. You have fallen behind in your academic pacing in order to meet your graduation timeline.
  2. You wish to accelerate your academic pacing in order to meet a personal deadline or graduation timeline. 

This is a course set up to give additional time and teacher assistance to create Individual Learning Plans (ILP) addressing needed standards.  Individual conferencing will be a large part of this experience.  You will be working on goal setting, self-reflection and metacognition.  All of these are important skills to know as a learner, in order to best prepare for your learning needs and goals in the future.  

On the first day of class you will be expected to know how to log onto your account in educate and access your individual snapshot.  You will also be expected to fill out your semester goal sheet and begin to do short and long term planning.  ILP forms will also be reviewed and available.  This course will be used as an opportunity to work on needed standards, this will NOT be a study hall.  

You will be expected to fill out ILPs and conference weekly on your progress.  Handouts from the classes will be available on this site.  If you miss a class you will be expected to locate any missing work on this site and to report in by email.
